MOONSET LIS is committed to ensuring the privacy and protection of the personal data of all those with whom it interacts, namely the users of the app MOONSET LIS.
Who is responsible for processing personal data?
The entity responsible for personal data is VIA Transportation Inc.
What personal data do we collect?
We collect personal data when users register in the application and when they make reservations within it. When doing so, the user will have to provide their name, email address, and telephone number.
We also collect information from you, contact us in writing, speak to us on the phone, by email or any other type of electronic communication, or talk to us face to face.
What types of information do we collect from you?
For MOONSET LIS our demand responsive public transport service, the information you provide will be stored on a 3rd party system provided by VIA Transportation. Information required to perform the required functions includes: forename, surname, company’s name, telephone number, and email address as well as special data such as whether the passenger uses a wheelchair or has a disability which requires adapted transport. This is required so that the most suitable vehicle is despatched. The information is shared with the driver via a secure app.
The personal data collected is essential for MOONSET LIS to provide the service, and its provision implies acknowledgment and acceptance of this privacy policy.
For what purpose do we use the personal data we collect?
The personal data we collect is used for service provision, customer management, financial management and compliance with legal and tax obligations.
The information details provided by the user will be used:
- To assess and provide safe and appropriate travel arrangements for passengers.
- To assess entitlement and eligibility for transport assistance.
- To procure relevant travel arrangements based on individual needs and requirements.
- Notify passengers of changes or disruption to our services.
- To contact passengers of any emergencies that may arise.
- To correspond with any relevant agencies that may also have relevant information.
- To enable the charging of the corresponding travel-related costs to the user’s employing company.
If necessary to comply with legal obligations, MOONSET LIS may allow access to the user's personal data to judicial, public security, tax, or regulatory authorities.
How long will your personal data be stored?
Personal data is stored only for the period necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or processed, without prejudice to legally defined retention periods. In the case of MOONSET LIS, personal data will be destroyed upon completion of the project.
Who has access to your information?
Users’ information may be shared with the following third parties for the reasons detailed:
- Transdev operators and car drivers providing information to allow them to undertake transport on MOONSET LIS’s behalf
- Internally with other departments such as the Human Resources department, legal and financial departments
- Statutory agencies, such as the Police– We may share your information with statutory agencies in line with our legal obligations and/or in completion of our public tasks
- VIA Transportation – To enable us to provide the MOONSET LIS on-demand service.
What are my rights as a Personal Data Subject?
Users have the right to request access to their personal data from MOONSET LIS.
They also have the right to data portability, rectification, or deletion.
They may also restrict or object to its processing, except regarding personal data essential for providing the service, and prevent automatic decisions.
The consent provided by the user may be withdrawn at any time. However, its withdrawal does not compromise the lawfulness of processing carried out based on previously given consent.
The user has the right to be notified by MOONSETLIS if a personal data breach occurs and may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
What measures have been adopted to ensure the security of your personal data?
MOONSET-LIS applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to meet legal requirements, particularly regarding security and confidentiality.
MOONSET-LIS aims to safeguard the rights of personal data subjects, ensuring the protection of such data against unauthorized access, improper use, loss, or destruction.
After a transaction, information relating to payment methods (debit card, credit card, or other) will not be stored in our system. The transaction is carried out directly in the vehicle with the driver, through a payment terminal (POS), and cannot be made via the application.
Keeping data up to date
MOONSET-LIS wants to ensure that any information we hold is accurate. The user can help by promptly informing us of any changes to the information we hold.
