WP1 – Project Management & Coordination
Lead: Wiener Linien | Months: 1–36
Led by Wiener Linien, this work package ensures that LIFE MOONSET runs smoothly from start to finish.
It coordinates all partners, monitors progress, manages finances, and ensures that every action meets the project’s goals and EU LIFE standards.
In short, WP1 keeps the project on track — delivering effective collaboration, transparency, and impact across all pilot regions.

WP2 – Detailed Concept of Pilot Actions
Lead: Wiener Linien | Months: 1–12
Led by Wiener Linien, this work package designs the foundation of the LIFE MOONSET pilot shuttles in Vienna, Lisbon, and Ruse.
It defines routes, user needs, and operational models, while customizing the software that will power the on-demand service.
WP2 turns ideas into actionable, city-ready mobility solutions — setting the stage for sustainable night transport across Europe.

WP3 – Environmental Impact Evaluation (EIE)
Lead: VIA | Months: 3–32
Led by VIA, this work package measures the environmental benefits of LIFE MOONSET’s electric on-demand shuttles.
By tracking emissions, energy use, and air quality, WP3 shows how shared night mobility reduces environmental impact.
It also develops a reusable methodology to guide other cities in implementing sustainable employee shuttle services.

WP4 – Managing Low-Emission Behaviour and Promoting the Service
Lead: University of Innsbruck | Months: 3–32
Led by UIBK, this work package focuses on understanding and shaping the mobility behavior of night-shift employees using the LIFE MOONSET shuttles.
By analyzing user preferences, attitudes, and travel patterns, WP4 develops targeted information, nudging, and incentivization measures to encourage low-emission choices.
The result is a better accepted, efficient, and user-friendly service that increases satisfaction, promotes sustainable travel, and reduces environmental impact.

WP5 – Pilot Actions: Implementation & Operation
Lead: Wiener Linien | Months: 13–34
Led by Wiener Linien, WP5 represents the core of LIFE MOONSET, implementing and operating the night-time shuttle services for employees in Vienna, Lisbon, and Ruse.
The pilot actions provide a real on-demand service, collecting user feedback, optimizing routes, and continuously improving service quality.
WP5 transforms the concept into active, running shuttle systems, generating valuable operational and environmental data while ensuring safe, convenient, and sustainable mobility for night-shift workers.

WP6 – Learning, Communication & Dissemination
Lead: TML | Months: 1–36
Led by TML, WP6 focuses on sharing the knowledge and insights gained from LIFE MOONSET across Europe.
It evaluates project outcomes, compiles lessons learned, and communicates results to stakeholders, policymakers, and the public.
WP6 ensures that the experience of the pilot shuttles informs future sustainable mobility projects, creating a wider impact beyond the three pilot cities.

WP7 – Sustainability, Replication & Exploitation
Lead: MTR | Months: 23–36
Led by MTR, WP7 ensures LIFE MOONSET’s results last beyond the project. It focuses on replicating successful night shuttle services, transferring lessons from Vienna and Lisbon to Ruse, and promoting adoption in other cities and organizations.
